Wardha is a town across Maharashtra, which was called after the Wardha River. The town was founded in the year 1866 and was a very proficient part of the Gandhian phase. Presently it has earned attention for being a center for the cotton trade. Wardha has also appeared as a sightseer destination.

Bor Wild Life Sanctuary

‘Bor’ is a wildlife sanctuary as well as a Tiger Reserve situated in the Wardha district of Maharashtra. It is spread over a field of 138.12 sq. km. It is the 6th Tiger Reserve of Maharashtra. Bor Tiger Reserve is the smallest tiger reserve in India on the basis area. The drainage basin of the nearby located Bor Dam falls within the reserve location.

About Bor Wild Life Sanctuary

Bor Wildlife Sanctuary, or as it is prevalently known, Bor Tiger Reserve Wardha lies among many other tiger reserves prevalent for their resident Bengal Tigers. It is one of the topmost tiger reserves near Nagpur. Bor Tiger Reserve is nearly 78 km from Nagpur. Towards the northeast lies the Pench Tiger Reserve, towards the east is Nagzira Navegaon Tiger Reserve, and to the South-east is Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary.

The Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is situated to the South-east, Melghat Tiger Reserve stands to the west while Satpura Tiger Reserve lies to the Nort-west of the Sanctuary. Together they form a huge, safeguarded horizon of bustling and flourishing wildlife diversity. 

Dhuandhar Falls

Dhuandhar Falls is situated in the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The fascinating falls cascade down for 30 m and are also one of the most visited tourist attractions in Jabalpur. The river Narmada flows through the prevalent marble-like falls, narrows down, and plunges into a waterfall so forcefully that it generates a bouncing mass of mist and results in the Dhuandhar falls. The plunges are so influential that their uproar can be heard from a far-off distance.

Kanha National Park

Anand Sagar

Aundha Nagnath Temple

The temple is of Hemadpanthi architecture and is positioned in a nearly 60,000 sq. ft area. A great number of pilgrims visit this temple on the Shivratri and Vijayadashmi.  

Kuntala Waterfalls

At 12 km from Neredikonda, 43 km from Nirmal, 58 km from Adilabad & 260 km from Hyderabad, Kuntala Waterfalls is in the middle of the Sahyadri mountain range near Neredikonda village in Adilabad District.

Kuntala Falls is the greatest waterfall in the state of Telangana with a height of 200 feet and one of the prevalent weekend getaways from Hyderabad. Formed by the Kadam River, Kuntala falls cascades down through 2 steps from a rocky platform. It is one of the famous one-day outings and a good weekend getaway from Hyderabad city.

About Kuntala Waterfalls

There is a motorable road to the entry point of the waterfalls from where nearly 400 steps must be trekked down to reach the bottom of the falls. The falls are nearly a 10-15 minute walk (one way) from the entry point. This is another prevalent attraction to visit as a part of the Wardha tour packages. 

According to the prevalent and popular local belief Kuntala Waterfall got its name after Shakuntala, the beloved wife of King Dushyanth, the pair fell in love with each other and were mesmerized by the scenic beauty of the atmosphere. The locals also have faith that Shakuntala is utilized to take bath in the waterfall. Monsoons and post-monsoons are the finest seasons to visit Kuntala Falls.

It is hazardous to get into the water at the bottom when the water flow is high owing to sharp rocks and twists. The flow of these falls relies on the discharge of water from the Kadam Reservoir. The uncertainty of the water release, precisely in the rainy season makes Kuntala Waterfalls a slightly dangerous location. MelGhat Tiger Reserve

The MelGhat Tiger Reserve is found in the northern portion of the Amravati District, Maharashtra. It is one of the 9 tiger reserves identified by Project Tiger. It is found on the Gavilgarh Hill, a Southern sprout of the Satpura Hill Ranges of Central India.

A hill forest region, the reserve has profuse undergrowth and most teak trees. Boasting 82 tigers and several other animals such as sloth Bears, panthers, wild bears, sambar, and wild dogs, the Melghat Tiger Project has a total area of nearly 1677 sq. km.

One often spots eagles in MalGhat. This region is also a water-harvesting forest as it deceits in the catchment area of the River Tapti. It supplied part of the freshwater used by individuals in the vicinity. 

Elgandal Fort

At 1 km from Elgandal, 167 km from Hyderabad, and 16 km from Karimnagar Bus Station, Elgandal Fort is positioned on the bank of the Maner River at Elgandal town in Karimnagar district of Telangana. The fort has been a center of power for several dynasties, involving the Kakatiya dynasty, Qutub Shahis, Bahmanis, Mughals, and Asaf Jahis.

The fort was appointed as the headquarters of Karimnagar throughout the rule of the Nizams of Hyderabad. During the earlier times, Elgandal is also named Bahudhanyapuram, Veligandula, and Tellakandula. And finally, in course of time, the name altered to Elgandal. Elgandal Fort is one of the finest surviving forts in Telangana. The Fort is positioned on the Hillock. There are 300 well-laid steps delivering admittance to the fort.

The East entrance of the fort, the Brundavan pond, the Mosques, and the graves in the fort are several points of attraction for tourists. Within the premises of the Fort prevails several tombs of Muslim saints. These involve the dargahs of great saints such as Syed Shah Munawar Quadri Saheb, Syed Maroof, Doola Shah Saheb, Vali Hyder Sahib, and Shah Talib Bismilla Saheb. 

Marble Rocks

The Marble Rocks, at Bhedaghat in the Jabalpur district, are one of the most remarkable natural sites around the country. Located nearly 25 km from the city of Jabalpur on the banks of the Narmada River, these rocks grow up as high as 100 feet.

The play of light and shadow of the sun and the moon on the pristine marble and the ecstatic river waters exists a kaleidoscope of remarkable pictures. Much like magnesium limestone rocks, marble stones also reflect dissimilar colors in dissimilar lights. Moonlight sightings are precisely divine and that is why there are several boat rides accessible at the canyon.

Tourists can enjoy the view of the mighty Narmada River enclosed by the magical mountains on moonlit nights through boat rides. The site also holds archaeological importance as excavations have found shells of dinosaur eggs at some of the ghats.

By Flight: Wardha is not well linked to other foremost cities of the country via unvarying flights. The nearest airport is in Nagpur at 59kms. 

By Train: There is no unvarying train to Wardha from other foremost cities of the country. The nearest Railway Station is Nagpur which is positioned at 66 km.
